Lending In Edge

Getting Started with cSigma Edge

It’s easy to get started. Just connect your crypto wallet, deposit your funds, and start earning steady returns.

To make a deposit, visit Edge’s platform. You’ll choose your commitment period—longer commitments earn higher rewards. You can track your deposit on the Portfolio page.

Note: Some regions may not be eligible to deposit on Edge. Check Restricted Countries section for more information.

Approvals

When you deposit assets like USDC or USDT into Edge, you'll need to approve the smart contract to interact with your funds. This is a standard process on Ethereum.

Technical Details

When you make your deposit, you'll be prompted to approve the contract for the asset. This approval allows the contract to work with your tokens, a routine transaction on Ethereum.

After you lend into a pool, you’ll need to confirm the transaction in your wallet. Once it's processed, you’ll see a success screen with a link to check the transaction on Etherscan.

Each pool on Edge has its own smart contract. The contract addresses can be found in the pool details.

When you deposit into a pool, you’re calling the “Deposit” function on the smart contract. After confirming, the pool accepts your lending tokens and gives you LP (Liquidity Provider) Tokens in return. With cross-chain functionality enabled, you can deposit into an Edge Pool from any supported blockchain, your assets will be securely bridged to the destination chain where the pool resides using Stargate (powered by LayerZero), and LP tokens will be minted directly on that chain.

Currently supported networks include:

  • Ethereum

  • BNB Chain

  • Avalanche

  • Polygon

  • Arbitrum

  • Optimism

  • Mantle

  • Base

  • Kava

  • Core

  • Sonic

  • Gnosis

It’s important to understand the different types of fees and slippage involved in a cross-chain deposit:

The router estimates how much you'll receive on the destination chain before the transfer is sent. If the expected amount drops below a safe minimum due to slippage, the transaction is automatically blocked to protect your funds.

It also calculates and displays the total bridging and messaging fees upfront, so you always know the full cost before confirming the transfer.

These pool contracts use the ERC-4626 standard, also known as the Tokenized Vault Standard. This allows your LP tokens to gain value as borrowers repay their loans.
